Summary:

A twelve-year old girl named Meggie lives an ordinary life with her father Mo, a book binder. One night a strange man by the name of Dustfinger appears at her house with a warning to move quickly. The next day, they are on their way to their Aunt Eleanor's home where Mo wishes to hide a book titled Inkheart . Meggie discovers along the way that her father has an extraordinary power- to read characters and objects out of their books and bring them “alive!” Capricorn, a terrible villain whom Mo had accidently read out of a book, has been trying to find Mo to make him read out a terrible monster named “Inkheart.” Mo, Meggie and Dustfinger hide at Aunt Elearnor's and attempt to keep Capricorn from finding them and forcing Mo to release the horrible Inkheart, but Mo is captured and Meggie, Eleanor and Dustfinger must try to get him back.

This book has lots of suspense and adventure that will make you want to keep reading on!
