The Nazareth Area School District is comprised of six schools; one high school, one middle school, an intermediate school and three elementary schools. The Middle School (NAMS) is located at 94 Friedenstahl Ave., Nazareth Pennsylvania , and is about one mile east of the town of Nazareth . The Middle School serves students in grades 7-8 with grades comprised of about 400 students. Each grade has three teams, and students on a team have the same academic teachers. This teaming approach allows for flexible planning and cross-curricular teaching.

The curriculum at the Middle School addresses what might be considered the usual academic subjects, but also includes courses such as drama, information literacy and computer education. Eighth grade students are exposed to three foreign languages, French, German and Spanish. The school also has a wonderful music program which includes a band and orchestra, and students participate in a number of sports and are particularly known for their expertise in baseball, wrestling and football. NAMS offers a student television program, Eagle Vision, shown daily. Our new Middle School also includes SMART boards in every academic classroom. Technology is an important learning tool at Nazareth , and the television program, SMART technology and our podcasts are just a few examples of how teachers are using technology as valuable learning experiences.

Although many of the projects presented on this site were produced by students in the Middle School's Gifted Exploratory Classes, any Nazareth Middle School student may request his/her work to be posted on the site.
